A very Happy New Year to everyone from Y.CA. We hope you all had alovely Christmas and that 2010 will be a happy and healthy year.
November meeting -:
Mr Michael Chandler from Kilham came to talk about "Gardens of the
East Riding." By the means of many beautiful slides, Michael took us on
a magical tour of all the jewels of this part of Yorkshire. It made us
realise how fortunate we are to have so many beautiful gardens to visit
within a short car journey. Roll on the Spring when we can renew our
acquaintance with Sledmere, Burton Agnes, Burnby Hall, to name but a few.
December meeting-:
Once again, our Christmas party was a great success. About 70 members
and guests sat down to a traditional Festive meal prepared by Mrs Jenny
Winn and her team. We thought that this years meal was better than
ever! After coffee and mince pies we were entertained by a musical
group called "Three of a Kind" who played a selection of well known
songs and some that they had written themselves.
Thanks go to the committee for decorating the hall and providing raffle prizes.
January: This meeting has been cancelled because of the slippery paths and chillv village hall. New members are always welcome. For more information of future events please phone. Sue Brooks - 550733
